The school newspaper “Wortwechsel” from the FOS / BOS Erding is one of the best in Bavaria

Erding - The editors of the school newspaper “Wortwechsel” from the Erding Vocational School responded with great joy this November to the invitation to the award ceremony for the “Blattmacher” school newspaper competition organized by the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

As the sixth of seven competition categories, it was the turn of the vocational schools and until then everyone could gain an insight into the winning newspapers in the other categories as well as the work of various SZ journalists in an entertaining stream.

Last year's edition of our school with the title “We were - are - will” was awarded 3rd place, which all students and the supervising teachers were very happy about.

The jury praised the fact that with the subject of the school newspaper it was possible to “combine topics from the past, present and future in one magazine”.

The article on the self-experiment “Social Media Detox” and the interview in which three generations exchange views on the relationship between East and West and divided Germany, in which past, present and future are connected, were particularly mentioned.

The "Wortwechsel", which two years ago even won 1st prize in the "Blattmacher" competition, is thus also qualified for the federal state school newspaper competition.

Headmaster Jens Baumgärtel, who also followed the live stream, congratulated the editors and thanked everyone involved for their excellent work.
