The Turkish Human Rights Association confirmed that violations inside prisons in Turkey led to the registration of dozens of deaths among prisoners, noting the deterioration of the conditions of patients due to their denial of treatment by the authorities of the Turkish regime.
The Turkish newspaper Zaman quoted the association as saying in a report that at least 59 sick prisoners have died inside Turkish prisons since the beginning of 2020, indicating that many prisoners who suffer from heart problems, cancer and many chronic diseases are denied treatment and their sentences are not postponed as is done Most of the time, their requests for treatment outside prisons were refused.
The Republican People's Party, the largest opposition party in Turkey, revealed earlier that 377 people, including a child, were subjected to torture and ill-treatment in the prisons of the Turkish regime during the month of October alone.
