A network that made it possible to create between 5,000 and 10,000 false health passes for a benefit of around two million euros was partly dismantled in early December, after facts noted in Metz, AFP learned on Friday (December 17th). from a source close to the case.
A couple was taken into custody in early December, this source said.
And the investigation, led by the Paris prosecutor's office, continues in particular to identify other participants in the network.

According to the first elements of the investigation carried out by the Central Office for the fight against attacks on the environment and public health (OCLAESP), the research section and the PJ of Metz and the gendarmerie in cyberspace, the counterfeiters retrieved the identifiers of pharmacists on the website of the National Order of Pharmacists. They then generated health passes in the names of these health professionals, between 5,000 and 10,000, for an estimated profit of two million euros, according to the close source.
Thursday, the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin announced the opening of 400 investigations to dismantle networks of false health passes and the arrest of a hundred people.
These arrests target both users and trafficking networks, says his entourage.
According to Beauvau, 110,000 false health passes have been circulating in France since the device was introduced in the summer.
