Attendorn - A major mistake happened on Sunday (December 19, 2021) in the Corona * vaccination center of the Olpe district in North Rhine-Westphalia when vaccinating children.

As the district informs the dpa, several children have received the vaccine from Moderna * injected - although so far only the drug from Biontech * has been approved for them.

"The parents of the children concerned were immediately informed of the incident," said the district.

In a conversation with the medical management of the vaccination center, they were told that the European Medicines Agency had applied for approval for the Moderna vaccine for children.

According to the dpa, no abnormalities were found in the affected children when they left the vaccination center.

At the request of the parents, the incident was reported to the police.
