And yet these nations, like France, have some of the highest proportions of people vaccinated in Europe.

Is this a sign of vaccination failure?

And if confinement hangs over our heads, why make the effort to go and receive a third injection, especially if the effectiveness of vaccines decreases over time?

Let's not go for easy shortcuts.

Without their protective effect on more than 50 million French people, we would have been re-defined in September, during the fourth wave of this endless epidemic.

If the contaminations have happily crossed the peak of 50,000 cases per day, hospitalizations remain limited to bearable levels.

But it must be recognized that the Omicron variant, which appeared less than a month ago in South Africa, is rebounding ...
