2021-12-20T19:18:13.117Z

The Minister of Transportation's lawyers went against the complainant's conduct: "There is no good faith here" • The plaintiff worked for several months in Michaeli's office in the Knesset and demands compensation of tens of thousands of shekels

In the Jerusalem Labor Court, a hearing was held today (Monday) on the claim of the former parliamentary assistant to Minister Merav Michaeli, who is demanding NIS 320,000 from her and the Knesset on the grounds of abuse at work.

The president of the court, Eyal Avrahami, requested at the end of the hearing that the plaintiff announce within 48 hours her position regarding the deletion of the Knesset from the lawsuit, since these are matters between the former assistant and Michaeli.

Within seven days the plaintiff will submit an affidavit for the disclosure of the documents in her possession and within 14 days both parties will submit their positions if they wish to receive additional documents.

During the hearing, the representatives of Minister Michaeli, attorneys Tamar Winter and Yael Livnat, said that the assistant had worked for the minister for only 4.5 months and we lamented her conduct.

"About three weeks ago there was a tweet on Twitter that the minister wanted to talk to the plaintiff and compensate the plaintiff because it was an abuse against a woman. Minister Michaeli denied the allegations. "The feeling that I am not at all comfortable entering into such a situation for negotiations. In general, the conduct of the plaintiff and her attorney in the case from the beginning is a conduct that is foreign to us, a conduct that does not meet basic principles," the lawyers said.

Defense attorneys added that "there is no good faith here and no fairness here. Starting with the filing of the lawsuit that was filed along with a request to close doors with a ban on publication. At the same time and before a decision is made by the court, To keep confidential, in a defamatory manner, degrading and unusual on any scale. "

The plaintiff replied during the trial that "Merav Michaeli crushed me. I will never sit with her in the same room."

As you may recall, the former assistant filed a lawsuit against the minister for abuse at work.

The lawsuit alleges that the employee, who holds a doctorate, was subject to personal sanctions and punishments that included aggressive treatment, humiliation, accusations and harassment.

The statement of claim, which was also filed against the Knesset, states that "The Honorable Court is requested to summon the defendants to state that the plaintiff's employment was done by the defendants jointly and to charge them, jointly and severally, with payment to the plaintiff, and even full compensation." "According to the law and the provisions of the employment agreements, and all for the reasons and reasons specified above and according to the amounts explained above and which will be mentioned and summarized briefly."
