The head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna negotiations on the nuclear agreement with Iran, Mikhail Ulyanov, revealed that tangible progress had been achieved in the conduct of its latest round.

Russia Today website quoted Ulyanov as saying that "those who were pessimistic in the past noticed the progress of the negotiations, but they prefer not to talk about it to the media at this stage," noting that "the talks are continuing in a practical and positive atmosphere."

Ulyanov expressed Russia's adherence to continuing work on a special project to produce medical radioisotopes at the Iranian nuclear site of Fordow and "helping all political partners to find a common language," explaining that "Russia plays the role of an honest broker and its goal is to resume the nuclear agreement and does everything in its power to achieve this goal." .

It is worth noting that the eighth round of Vienna negotiations was launched on the 27th of this month between representatives of Iran and the Four Plus One Group, and is scheduled to resume on January 3rd.
