North Korea says it successfully tested a hypersonic missile, North Korean state media reported Wednesday morning (local).
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended the launch, state media reported.
On Tuesday, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said that an "unidentified projectile", allegedly a ballistic missile, had a flight distance of more than 700 km, a maximum altitude of about 60 km and a maximum speed of around Mach 10.
