Europe is changing direction: The gates are opening for the vaccinated Israel today

2022-02-01T20:00:20.344Z

The EU recommends stopping defining countries by color and focusing on immunization status • Meaning: Facilitating travelers to the Netherlands, Romania and the UK • The Philippines and Thailand are also giving up restrictions

Most countries in the world morbidity figures in Corona are still high, in some they even reach new highs, but that does not stop many leaders from declaring the removal of most restrictions and the opening of borders.

Thus, for example, the Netherlands will be open to Israeli tourists who have been vaccinated in three doses starting today.

Romania is also easing the conditions of entry into it, and starting yesterday everyone can enter the country.

Those who are vaccinated or recovering according to Romanian requirements will not need to be tested. The EU last week issued a recommendation that EU countries stop defining countries by color and morbidity level, and start allowing tourists to enter countries according to their immune status.

The EU's recommendation to vaccinate is up to 270 days from the last vaccine dose, but some countries may worsen and define vaccines by 180 days from the last vaccine dose.

Most EU countries are expected to adopt most of the recommendations on this issue. In the UK most restrictions have been lifted, and Israeli tourists vaccinated with at least two doses can enter the kingdom without the need for pre-flight testing or isolation, except for antigen testing on the second day there.

From February 11, those who are vaccinated will not have to be tested on the second day either.

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has already announced that he will remove all restrictions in March-April. The gates will also open in North Africa: after two months during which Morocco was completely closed, starting on February 7, the country will reopen to foreign tourists. That will operate direct flights to Morocco from next month.

The Moroccan airline, Royal Air Moroccan, is expected to start operating direct flights in the coming weeks.

As of yesterday Thailand is open to the vaccinated completely.

You can land in any city in the country, and the isolation there is similar to that in Israel - a few hours until you get the negative answer after landing.

The Philippines also solemnly announced that the country would be open to tourists, including tourists from Israel, starting February 10.

Vaccinated people will have to present a negative result to a test done within 48 hours before the flight.

Last week, the Philippines Airlines announced that it would start operating direct flights on the Manila-Tel Aviv route.

The company changed its decision yesterday, and it is currently unclear whether it will start operating direct flights to Israel in the coming months. Singapore has also been opened to tourists coming from neighboring Asian countries, and quite a few Israelis take advantage of the visit to Thailand to continue to Singapore.

India has also opened up to Israelis, but at the moment isolation is needed.
