On immigration more than on any other subject, Emmanuel Macron needs to value these two legs for his campaign.
Aware that an outgoing president is never re-elected on a balance sheet, he wants to at least avoid the sanction vote.
However, if his electoral base and many right-wing sympathizers give him note of his economic, social or fiscal reforms, there are two areas where, in different or even opposing electorates, he suffers from a great severity of judgment: the ecology and the sovereign.
In both cases, the president is convinced to have done more than all the executives who preceded him.
But in both cases, the audiences most concerned or most mobilized on these subjects are far from being convinced.
