The French nuclear industry is savoring its victory.
The European Commission confirmed on Wednesday that the civil atom is included in the taxonomy.
This is his ticket to the closed club of “green” energies.
It doesn't matter if the sector only has a temporary right of access - nuclear power is classified, like gas, among the "transition" energies.
This transition, in this case, will last long enough to allow France to develop its EPR construction program.
To obtain the Brussels green stamp, the projects will have to obtain their construction permit before 2045.
"By then, France is supposed to have built six reactors, minimum"
