A biosecurity expert has warned that Corona will never become an endemic disease and will always remain a pandemic virus.
Sky News quoted Raina MacIntyre, professor of global biosecurity at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, that although endemic diseases can spread in large numbers, the number of cases does not change as quickly as in the case of the Corona virus.
What is meant by endemic diseases are those diseases that are confined to certain geographic or demographic places and where infections remain almost constant for a long time, unlike the epidemic disease that spreads in various parts of the world.
MacIntyre pointed out that if the numbers change in endemic diseases, this happens slowly and over years, but in the case of epidemic diseases, infections rise within days or weeks, noting that this pattern has been observed with smallpox for several centuries, and is still observed with measles and influenza, stressing that Currently observed with Corona.
She pointed out that Corona magically turned into an endemic infection similar to malaria, where levels remain constant for long periods, adding that the disease caused by the Corona virus will continue to cause epidemic waves, driven by the waning of the immunity of vaccines and new mutagens that escape protection from vaccine and non-vaccinated groups.
