The Syrian National Ensemble for Arab Music, led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah, opened its 2022 season with a concert with Syrian musician Safwan Bahlawan at the Opera Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
The evening’s program was a mixture of melodies, vocals, and songs by the musician Muhammad Abdel Wahab, from the words of the great Syrian and Arab poets, including Sultan Al Owais, Hussein Al-Sayed, Suleiman Al-Issa, Elia Abu Madi, Mahmoud Yassin, Muhammad Abdel Moneim, Muhammad Moussalli and Mamoun Shinawi.
The evening began with the band playing a piece of music, Sami Bayat, composed by Pahlawan, after which he performed his melodious voice and his unique performance, composed by Layali Al-Sham, Spring of Safa, and Amwaj, and from the heritage, Zahrat Al-Fella.
Among the compositions of Abdel-Wahab, he performed acrobatic with the band, songs that I did not know, I do not know, and I did not write and when you intended to end the evening with a song, All this was for him.
It is noteworthy that the musician Safwan Bahlawan was honored by major Arab festivals in Morocco and Tunisia, which gave him the title of best Arab voice, Oman and Egypt, which was a guest at most of their festivals at the Egyptian Opera House.
He studied at the Conservatory of Music in Egypt and then went to Germany to continue his academic studies. The Berlin Symphony Orchestra played his symphony, The Pioneer and the Storm, in a number of European capitals. He is a wonderful composer, the Iraqi poet Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri. The Glory Front, performed by the singer Mayada Al-Hanawi, as well as a melody from the poetry of Muhammad Omran, a poem for us the land by the late singer Ruba. Beauty.
