A pavilion was badly damaged by an explosion on Wednesday 2 February. The three occupants were evacuated to Jossign hospital

This Thursday morning, even seen from the street, the damage is impressive.

A gas explosion severely damaged a pavilion on the Royal Road, this Wednesday around 7 p.m., in Ozoir-la-Ferrière.

A fire followed, which the firefighters contained using three lances, without however entering the building as a precaution.

In daylight, the walls of the house appear cracked.

The roof was shaken badly and a roof window no longer visibly closes… A car parked on the other side of the street, with shattered windows and windshield, bears the marks of the explosion.

It was parked this Wednesday just in front of the house.

“She was thrown a few meters”, reports a neighbor.

Helped by members of their family, the occupants are then busy removing what can be removed from this now visibly uninhabitable house.

The 55-year-old father had passed through the collapsed floor the day before.

Hit in one leg, he was evacuated to the Jossigny hospital center.

He came out on Thursday, as did his 53-year-old partner and his 19-year-old son, who were initially hospitalized.

“We heard a very big explosion”

“It's a miracle, recognizes the woman, who does not want to pour out on the misfortune of her family.

It's okay, we have nothing.

We are safe.

Everything is fine.

The outpouring of solidarity was immediate on social networks, to offer them clothes, as well as help.

“We have everything we need.

We were offered, but we don't need to, ”replies the fifty-year-old, who apparently only wants to return to a normal life.

Under the blast of the explosion, a nearby pavilion was hit by projections, but its structure suffered no damage.

“A debris broke our gutter, testifies Margo, a neighbor whose father was there at the time of the explosion.

We all thought it was in our homes.

“We heard a very big explosion, says another neighbor.

We were all scared.

We went out to see what was going on.

We realized that it was at the neighbors.

Then, afterwards, there was the fire.

My husband went to help the gentleman out of the house.

Fortunately, he has already returned.

The most important thing is that they are fine.

I checked to see if my brother was okay and he went out to see.

Other people then took the gentleman out of his home.

Then there was the police who established a security perimeter and this fire.

We could see the flames behind our wall!

In addition, teams from GRDF and Enedis were also dispatched to the scene to assist the firefighters in their intervention.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, another flaming gas leak, this time in the street in front of shops, on the ground floor, caused the evacuation in the middle of the night of 120 people from a six-storey building at 5 , Cours des Roches, in Noisiel.

The gas had to be cut off by GRDF.

Three hundred customers were affected by the gas cut.
