An eight-year-old boy from the United States wrote his own book, which became a real hit.
The story behind it makes for a lot of fun.
Boise (Idaho), United States - Little Dillon Helbig, 8, from the United States, has become a minor star in his homeland.
The second-grader wrote his own Christmas adventure story in a red-covered notebook and illustrated the 81-page story with crayons.
The title: The Adventures of Dillon Helbig's Crismis, signed by Dillon his self.
USA: Eight-year-old writes Christmas story and smuggles it into library
But that was just the beginning of the really wonderful story, as reported by the
Washington Post
.
After the little writer finished his work in mid-December, he didn't just want to keep it to himself.
So he went to the local library, the Ada Community Library, with his grandmother.
Unnoticed by his grandmother and the librarians, he smuggled his book in and hid it on a children's picture book shelf.
Because he wanted to share the story with others.
He later confessed to his mother, Susan Helbig, what he had done.
Two days later they went back to the library to see if it was still there.
But it was missing.
The mother immediately asked the staff if anyone had found the book and asked them not to throw it away.
But the worries were unfounded, it was still there.
Boss Alex Hartman and his associates had found and read Dillon's book.
They were enthralled by Dillon's adventures in the book, in which he attaches an exploding star to his Christmas tree and is catapulted back to First Thanksgiving and the North Pole.
Hartman said, "It was a nifty trick, but it was far too special an item for us to consider getting rid of."

Head of librarian absolutely delighted with Dillon's story - book is now officially on loan and an instant hit
The head of the library even read the book to his six-year-old son, who even giggled and said it was one of the funniest books he had ever read.
“Dillon is a confident and generous guy.
He just wanted to share the story," Hartman continued.
He didn't think he just wanted to "promote" it.
Hartman later even asked his mother if he could put a number code on the book so that he could lend it out.
Of course she agreed, and now anyone who wants to can borrow it.
And it became a real hit.
The waiting list already includes 55 people.
"His imagination is running all the time and he's a very creative little boy," said mum Susan, adding that he regularly entertains her and her husband Alex Helbig.
"He just comes up with these amazing stories and adventures." Dillon himself says of his action: "It was indecent." But the result was "pretty cool".
She is also very successful at a young age: Pixie Curtis is considered the most enterprising child in Australia.
The ten-year-old's career began when she was just a baby.
She could retire at 15.
