"Hartz and cordial": Petra and Sascha would like to leave the Benz barracks in Mannheim and are looking for a new apartment in Saarland.

However, this project is not that easy.

Mannheim – The Benz barracks have had a cult following since 2017 and German television would be unimaginable without them.

Every Tuesday, Janine, Elvis and Dagmar*, who died in November 2021, inspire the RTLZWEI viewers in the social documentary "Hartz und Herzen"*.

Between social media and fans, the residents grapple with money worries and the authorities on a daily basis.

The mother of two Petra and her husband Sascha also have concerns about the future.

But these should no longer be in Mannheim*.

The couple would like to turn their backs on the Benz barracks.

Since Petra's children have school holidays and the Mannheimers are currently unemployed due to the corona pandemic, the two would like to travel to their future federal state of choice - Saarland.

Petra and her husband Sascha would like to move to a small community in Saarland.

Since Petra has an uncle and an aunt there*, the people of Mannheim hope to make friends quickly in another federal state.

Since they are actively supported, the 42-year-old is positive about the move.

He is happy to be able to leave Mannheim soon.

On their trip to the Saarland, the family of four wants to look for a suitable apartment and at the same time recharge their batteries.

Even though Petra, who lives in the barracks, has made contacts for over 6 years and will miss some people in Mannheim, she is ready to take a new step and wishes for a new start* with her husband and their two children.

The two have already selected possible schools and kindergartens to make the move easier for the children.

But the couple's plan is not easy.

The housing market is bad at the moment and you cannot find an apartment.

In "Hartz und Herzen" Sascha is still positive and adds: "Hope dies last."

"Hartz and heartily": the couple plans to live off the office in Saarland

Petra and Sascha were employed by a security company until the corona pandemic in 2020.

However, since there are no orders due to the events, the couple lives off the office again.

Despite moving to Saarland, Petra would like to continue to live from the office in order to settle in and then look for a new job.

The Mannheim couple is "in a good mood and in good spirits about the future".

Since they previously worked with a security company in Saarland, the two are sure to find a new job there quickly.

But Petra quickly adds: "We don't need to apply until we have an apartment."

The trip to Saarland is therefore important in order to find a new place to live for the family of four.

The encouragement from their fans also makes Petra and Sascha confident.

The couple reports

that they have already been approached several times on the street and that fans even show up with printed T-shirts and ask for an autograph.

So it remains to be seen how quickly the popular Barackler will realize their dream in Saarland.

However, the two will no longer be able to take part in "Hartz und Herzen" after their move.
