The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, confirmed during his visit to the “Made in Syria” specialized export exhibition for clothes, textiles and production requirements spring and summer 2022 that the ministry puts all its capabilities to serve producers and provides all facilities in coordination with the Federation of Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
The Minister noted the importance of the various products in the exhibition, especially that some of them belong to factories that were destroyed, but they came back with force to represent a solid and strong will of a people who believe in their homeland and confirm that the national industry is an identity and culture and at the same time a weapon to break the siege and achieve the interests of the homeland and the citizen.
Minister Salem met with a number of participants and listened to their demands and the obstacles that hinder the production, marketing, sale and export operations, pointing out that the ministry has achieved tangible results in its work, which is in the interest of the producer and the consumer, starting with pricing processes that have become based on real costs to facilities in granting trademarks, commercial registration and protection Industrial and commercial property.
Minister Salem referred to the large number of Iraqi visitors who came to conclude deals and buy the Syrian product, which would benefit the national economy and continue the production cycle in various fields.
The head of the Federation of Chambers of Industry, Engineer Faris Al-Shihabi, pointed out that the exhibition is an opportunity to meet the producers with visitors coming from outside Syria to see the new Syrian product, in addition to direct communication between the participants and the concerned government agencies to learn about the great efforts made to reach the desired results and to listen to the difficulties they suffer to help. in overcoming them and finding appropriate solutions.
The exhibition, which opened yesterday and is organized by the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and the Association of Syrian Exporters of Garments and Textiles in the Fair City in Damascus, covers an area of 20,000 square meters and is presented in 6 men's, women's and children's clothing halls, in addition to production requirements, with 430 companies participating, and will continue until the sixth of this month.
