After a long silence, the creator of the song Westernhagen has now made a statement.
Music greats support the campaign.
Berlin – “Freedom”: Opponents of the Corona * measures have been using the song by singer Marius Müller-Westernhagen on demonstrations and walks for weeks.
Now it seems enough for the 73-year-old musician.
On Instagram * he sets a clear sign.

Singer Marius Müller-Westernhagen (73) has published a photo on his Instagram profile that shows him vaccinating – he wrote the word “freedom”.
This is also the title of his cult song from 1987. His fans rated this action on Friday as a statement in the vaccination debate - and as a defense of his music from opponents of the Corona measures.
So far, Westerhagen has always been silent about the use and reinterpretation of his song.

However, the latest post seems like a clear sign - for vaccination.

The discussions between the followers* are controversial.
The post had thousands of likes as of Saturday afternoon.
The song "Freiheit" is considered one of the anthems from the time after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Some Corona demos in the past were not only peaceful.
