Fifth wave: 40,000 were diagnosed yesterday with corona, a record number of severe patients

The Ministry of Health updated that in the past day, 37,977 people were infected with the virus, out of about 150,000 tests performed.

The number of patients with a severely defined condition reached 1,213, of whom 270 were respirators.

Since the outbreak of the plague in Israel, 9,135 patients have died

37,977 people have been diagnosed with corona since yesterday (Friday), out of about 150,000 tests performed - the Ministry of Health updated.

According to the ministry, the condition of 1,213 patients is now defined as serious, and it has been at a record high since the outbreak of the plague.

Of these, 270 patients were resuscitated.

9,135 patients have died since the virus arrived in Israel.
