Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba announced today that Kiev has recently received $1.5 billion in support from Western partners, in addition to more than 1,000 tons of weapons.
Sputnik quoted Kuleba as saying that Ukraine receives enhanced political and security assistance and economic support, the total volume of which exceeded 1.5 billion dollars during these weeks and months, noting that the volume of delivery of defensive weapons and military equipment to Ukraine amounted to more than 1,000 tons.
Kuleba considered that the record levels of support are of political importance, as they strengthen Ukraine's position at the negotiating table.
It is noteworthy that since 2014, NATO countries led by the United States have been providing Ukraine with weapons and training its army, which directly violates the Minsk agreements and negatively affects the settlement in Donbass.
In addition to the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Poland, Turkey, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania and Estonia are involved in deliveries totaling billions of dollars.
All this is taking place against the backdrop of the tension between Russia and the West, which accuses Moscow of preparing to invade its neighbor's lands, which Russia denies, stressing that it is not in the process of carrying out any aggression on the territory of Ukraine.
