The settlement center in the Maskana area in the countryside of Aleppo witnessed a remarkable turnout, with dozens of residents of the neighboring countryside of Aleppo and Raqqa, to settle their conditions and return to their normal lives in their villages and towns, amid the facilities provided by the concerned authorities, in parallel with the organization of Arab clans and tribes Sheikhs event “Tent of Homeland” in support of the settlement process .

During the gathering, a number of speeches were delivered that stressed the importance of government efforts to establish security and stability in the liberated areas, in translation of the amnesty decree issued by President Bashar al-Assad, which contributes to the return of the people and their children to the bosom of the homeland.

Dr. Kumait Assi Al-Sheikh, member of the executive office concerned with the Aleppo Provincial Council, said in a statement to SANA reporter, “Today we are living a very important national turning point in Syria, which needs the efforts of all its people for reconstruction, represented by the amnesty decree, settlement operations and the opening of settlement centers, including Maskana Center,” pointing out that This step “contributed greatly to the return of a large number of Syrians to the bosom of the homeland.”

He referred to the efforts made by the Aleppo Governorate to build bridges of trust and cooperation with tribal elders, local councils, and neighborhood committees, and to harness all capabilities to make these settlements successful, including equipment, transportation, and communication with the people to receive the arrivals, which contributes to the daily escalation of settlement operations.

SANA’s camera monitored the opinions of a number of dignitaries and clan elders who were in the center, where Sheikh Faisal Shalash, the sheikh of the Bani Saeed tribe from Manbij region, explained the importance of the settlement processes that “came after the President granted the amnesty decree, which expresses Syria’s victory with its army, people and leadership over terrorism,” calling on all The families and sons in the areas of the US-backed “Qasd” militia have to join settlement centers and return to their villages in order to achieve forgiveness and reconciliation.

Sheikh Hassan Abdel-Razzaq Al-Hussein, a notable of the Bakara tribe, said that today’s meeting at the Status Settlement Center is “an affirmation of the national reconciliation that we call on all tribesmen to join and the reconstruction of Syria,” pointing out that “the amnesty decree contributed to the return of hundreds of those who lost their way to their towns and practice their normal lives.”

Mustafa Al-Omar, the Mukhtar of Manbij, explained that the people of Manbij are still “coming to the settlement center in Maskana since the start of the settlement work.

Muhammad al-Saad al-Shammari from the liberated countryside of al-Bab called on all residents and children “to return to their senses, stop sabotage and destruction of public and private facilities and buildings, leave armed terrorist groups, and take advantage of the amnesty decree to return to their villages and rebuild Syria.”


A number of those whose statuses have been settled expressed their satisfaction with the facilities provided in the settlement centers, stressing that they are determined to return to their homes and villages to work in them, invest the land and rebuild what was destroyed by terrorism.
