Between his defiance of the injury of the war and his insistence on completing the course of life, Wissam Hindi Al-Hussein set out from As-Suwayda Governorate to the field of commercial work with a micro-project in order to achieve a source of income that would help him support his family consisting of his wife and four children.
Wissam, 45, told SANA reporter how he was hit by a mine while performing a mission as a volunteer in the ranks of the Syrian Arab Army in 2015 in the countryside of Daraa governorate, which led to an amputation under his knee, forcing him to leave the battlefield with a disability of 60%, but he remained armed with a strong will to prove his existence .
Wissam, who had a prosthetic limb installed, stated that he had tried first in the paint field, but his health condition did not allow him to continue, so he decided to go to simple trade, where he started with a small shop selling detergents and other materials in his small village, Al-Sura, and then moved to the city of As-Suwayda, defying all the difficulties and pain that he did not. He still feels it until now, as he rented a house and a shop, and added to the sale of detergents a section for selling dairy, cheese and chicken, and he is making every effort and time to improve this project.
Wissam’s message to any person “according to his description” not to stand helpless in any circumstance he is exposed to, he should strive to improve his reality for the better, revealing his ambitions as a war wounded by expanding his work to become a small project and later a medium project if the required support and funding is achieved.
The blind war wounded, Ibaa Azzam, describes his colleague Wissam with pride. He says that he is an example of the wounded man who did not surrender to the battles of life of all kinds. He did not stop at his injury, but rather overcame them, insisting on continuing.
