The government's goal is to increase the corona vaccination rate in Germany.

The Bavarian ministers present an advertising clip.

One stands out.

Munich – Bavaria recently called for improvements to the German vaccination campaign.

The vaccination numbers are far behind what many are hoping for - Chancellor Olaf Scholz also missed his target.

The Free State therefore wants to get involved, currently with a top-class commercial.

Prime Minister Markus Söder posted the 85-second clip on his Twitter account on Friday (February 11).

It pays to listen carefully to each sentence.

It contains 18 short statements, spoken or presented on a sign.

The protagonists are the Bavarian ministers, state secretaries and of course the father of the country, Söder himself.

Bavarian Corona Vaccination Spot with Söder and Aiwanger: "Go Vaccination"

He also introduces the video directly under the title "Going to vaccinate".

"Vaccination is the only permanent way to safety," says Söder into the camera.

Other clear messages from other members of the government follow.

Minister of Education Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) states: "We all long for normality." "The pandemic is annoying and we all want it to be over at last," said Building Minister Kerstin Schreyer (CSU) at dusk.

The general message of the video: Everyone can make a contribution against the corona virus by vaccinating.

Many have already been vaccinated.

There are appointments in many places.

Aiwanger appears in the vaccination spot - months of dispute over ministers remembered

Economics Minister Hubert Aiwanger is also in the squad.

There was a dispute about him for months in 2021 because he did not get vaccinated at first.

Instead, he caused massive indignation with interview statements about alleged vaccination side effects - also in the cabinet.

The pressure from our own ranks increased, then the news followed: Aiwanger has been vaccinated.

While his fellow ministers send very clear messages in the current commercial, Aiwanger comes across as more thoughtful to indecisive.

This is what Justice Minister Georg Eisenreich said: "I am convinced that vaccination is the best way out of the pandemic." And Bernd Sibler, Minister for Science and Art, adds with clenched fists: "Please, please be vaccinated." Aiwanger, on the other hand, describes the situation quite soberly: "Many are now faced with the decision to be vaccinated for the first time or more."

Aiwanger advertises vaccinations, but remains more hesitant than other Bayern colleagues

But these are not the minister's only sentences about vaccination in a promotional video.

In recent weeks, for example, employees have uploaded a number of slightly longer Ministers spots to the “Bayern.de” Facebook page.

The current video is only a compilation with individual set pieces.

Aiwanger's complete clip can also be found here.

In it, he asks after the sentence already mentioned: "Talk to a doctor you trust and then make your decision on a medical basis." Here, too, Aiwanger seems much more hesitant than others.

Söder would not be Söder if, as Prime Minister in the new video, he did not speak the last sentence in addition to the introductory sentence.

And this is how the clip ends with his words: "So: Please take part.

Get vaccinated."
