The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it will not resort to a new set of response measures to ban broadcasting of the German channel RT if Berlin guarantees the rights of Russian journalists in its territory.
The ministry said in a statement today that the pressure on the RTV channel in Germany is of a political and artificial nature on demand and involves some government figures and public organizations in Germany, considering that the whole situation was originally designed as another provocation against Moscow at the same time, organized lists of sanctions are presented. Against citizens of Russia in the European Union and on the initiative of Germany.
On the third of this month, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the closure of the Deutsche Welle correspondents' office in Russia and the cancellation of the accreditation of all Russian employees working in it in response to the suspension of broadcasting of the German RT channel.
