The meeting, which included stakeholders in the tourism sector in Hama Governorate, dealt today with the reality of tourism, the treatment of faltering projects, the visions set for their rehabilitation, and the proposed investment opportunities to be presented at the next tourism investment forum.

The meeting, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism, Eng. Mohamed Rami Martini, also dealt with supporting the issue of tourism education, the set of difficulties and challenges facing investors, and the solutions available to revitalize this sector in Hama.

The demands of the owners of tourist establishments focused on securing fuel and increasing the hours of electricity connection by raising the share of tourist establishments from the electric power allocated to institutions, companies and government laboratories during official holidays.

The Director of Tourism in Hama, Engineer Yara Shartouh, gave a presentation on the sites ready for investment to be presented at the Tourism Investment Forum, the most important of which is the Al-Barnawi site and the tourist facilities located on the Orontes River axis, in addition to new sites belonging to the Hama Sports Federation.

The Minister of Tourism toured the building of the Directorate of Tourism and the archaeological Khan Rustam Pasha, where the craftsmen met in the khan and listened to their demands, which were represented by the problem of power outages.

It also included the secondary professional hotel tour and its departments, where the Minister instructed to expand the third floor and prepare a project to create a hotel institute, noting the possibility of investment directed in the secondary for those who wish to owners of restaurants or private tourist establishments.

It also included the secondary vocational hotel tour in Masyaf, in addition to examining the possibility of equipping the place for the tour guide service in Masyaf.

The minister also visited a site in Ain al-Karam in Wadi al-Ayoun to demonstrate the possibility of investing the area surrounding the giant tree of Dilba, which is more than 400 years old and is at the top of the list of perennial trees in Syria.
