"Colourful, loud and funny": This is how Rito Danger, who has given up his real name, describes himself.

The Tölz band "The Heimatdamisch" has found a new singer: His stage name is Rito Danger and he comes from Taufkirchen an der Vils.

Bad Tölz - "A great guy, a weird bird and a very good musician", judges band leader and arranger Florian Rein, who is looking forward to the big European tour that is imminent.

The change had become necessary because, as reported, singer Michael Wiedemann left "The Heimatdamisch".

Rein wants to develop the band further with the new singer.

"With Rico, the stage show will be completely different and definitely very funny," believes Rein.

"I am looking forward to.

I didn't know him before, but he has tremendous charisma."

"It worked - amazing"

Danger says he's been following the band's development for a long time: "The Oberkrainer variant of the cover songs – that's exactly my music." When he saw the casting call, he simply applied.

"And then it actually worked - amazing."

There was no shortage of applicants for the vacant posts, says Rein.

Among other things, inquiries were received from northern Germany and Holland.

However, Danger's videos and audio samples would have convinced him the most.

"And then we met in the studio, tried out a few songs - and then it sparked," says Danger with a laugh.

The Taufkirchner does not contradict when he is described as a "weird bird".

He describes himself as "colorful, loud and funny".

He finds it difficult to sit still: "I'm like a bouncy ball when I'm not resting at home from my exhausting Sparif anchors."

Concert calendar is full this year

Danger is actually a trained sound engineer and in this capacity supervised conferences and bands.

For a year he has devoted himself to music full-time, founded his own label, and produced and released electronic music.

"So I'm actually working on the other side of the mic," says Danger.

He gained some stage experience with rockabilly cover bands.

At "The Heimatdamisch" he got his first full-time engagement.

If everything goes according to plan, "The Heimatdamisch" will have their first performance in France in March.

It should continue in the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Holland and Austria.

The tour of Great Britain, which has already been postponed twice, is also to be made up for in autumn.

"The Beatles and the Rolling Stones come from England," enthuses Danger.

Appearance also at the “Woodstock der Blasmusik”

Another highlight of the concert year is likely to be the “Woodstock der Blasmusik” festival in Austria, where 40,000 visitors are expected.

"Our calendar is very busy," says Rein.

"I assume that this year all concerts will take place as planned." He believes that this year there will be "concerts and cultural offerings like never before": "Now everything that has been canceled in recent years will be made up for.

At the same time, something new is being added.” It remains to be seen whether the events are well attended given this oversupply: “People can’t go to a concert five times a week.”

Concert in the region not yet in sight

However, no performance is planned in the immediate vicinity: "We're out and about every weekend from May to October - it's a coincidence that nothing happened there," says Rein.

He is sorry, "because we like to play in the area".

At most, Rein could imagine another spontaneous appearance on the Blomberg.

"A home game would be cool," confirms band colleague Danger.

He knows the city very well, since his mother spent a long time in rehabilitation here: “We walked through the whole city.

Above all, the Café Schuler with its charming waitresses is very charming.” In order to be fit for the tour, he is currently rehearsing a lot: “I am happy to be able to bring Bavarian culture to Europe.

That's good for me - I'm not afraid."
