Five of the biggest names in hip hop will take the stage this Sunday for the Super Bowl halftime show.
What to expect from the Super Bowl halftime show?
Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will headline what is sure to be a thrilling rendition of their greatest hits.
Before their performance, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Mary J. Blige spoke at a press conference, saying it's time for hip hop to take center stage.
"This is what it's all about. This is what hip hop and the NFL is supposed to be about: representing change, moving forward, so we thank the NFL for even putting on a hip hop show, because we know there are a lot of people who don't has hip hop on stage," said Snoop Dogg for his part.

Dr. Dre echoed his comments, saying, "We're going to open more doors for hip hop artists in the future and make sure the NFL understands that this is what should have been a long time ago. We're going to show exactly what professional we can be, how great we can be on stage and how exciting we're going to be for the fans."
He added, "This should have happened a long time ago when it comes to hip hop. Hip hop is the biggest music genre on the planet right now, so it's crazy that it took all of this and all of this time to make it happen." We're going to be recognized. We're going to put on a fantastic show and we're going to make it so big that they won't be able to deny us in the future."

Anticipation around the performance has risen since "Straight Outta Compton" director F. Gary Gray released a trailer featuring the performers.
