There are two doctors, one in Veneto, the other in Emilia Romagna, whom the Nas have targeted in the investigation into the death of Michele Merlo, the singer former competitor of "XFactor" and "Amici" of Bassano (Vicenza) who died in 28 years old on 6 June in Bologna, for a cerebral ischemia caused by a fulminant leukemia.
This is what emerges from the papers in the proceedings of the investigation by the Vicenza Public Prosecutor's Office, which is approaching the date of the evidentiary incident, which will take place on 2 March, to allow also the defense consultants - there is only one suspect, the doctor base Pantaleo Vitaliano, who visited Michele in his office in Rosà on May 26, 2021 - to re-discuss the conclusions of the appraisal initially ordered by the Public Prosecutor of Bologna.
In addition to the doctor of Rosà - reports the Corriere del Veneto - according to the Nas "evident responsibilities emerge" also against another Bolognese doctor, who visited Merlo on 2 June in the Continuity care clinic in Vergato (the young man was a guest of the engaged to Emilia in those days) diagnosing him with tonsillitis.
According to the Carabinieri, the two doctors "superficially treating the symptoms suggestive of leukemia, delayed the diagnosis, compromising the outcome of the treatments".
However, they write, "no therapy administered on June 2 would have prevented death".
This is why Vergato's doctor was not investigated.
