The police officers were amazed: during a search they found almost 50 stolen bikes.

An IT consultant gave them the crucial tip.

Munich – Modern technology also has its good sides: In Gern, it has now led to a serial thief being exposed.

A 50-year-old from Munich*, who knew how to use the blessing of technology, helped diligently.

First things first: the 50-year-old had his locked pedelec stolen from his property in Moosach* on Saturday afternoon, February 5th.

According to its own statements, it has a value of more than 1500 euros.

A few days after the incident, he filed a complaint with the police.

Police find almost 50 bicycles

The IT consultant then solved the case almost entirely on his own.

Last Tuesday he was able to track the GPS signal on his bike and found that it had to be in Gern.

According to the police*, he was even able to narrow down the exact address to the location.

He provided the investigators with this information.

They, in turn, immediately obtained a search warrant.

And so the police officers rang the bell at the appropriate address, and a 39-year-old opened the door for them.

In the apartment, the investigators then widened their eyes: In addition to the 50-year-old's pedelec, they found more than 25 other bicycles.

Various tools for this.

Diligent bicycle thief: In addition to the stolen bike, narcotics were also seized

The next find was in the basement: there were more than 20 bikes and additional bike parts.

The 39-year-old could not provide proof of ownership of the bicycles - and some of them already had a shipping label.

But that's not all: During the search, the police found narcotics and two ID cards.

The 39-year-old from Munich is now facing several ads.

Meanwhile, the police are trying to identify the other bike owners.

The total value of all Radl is still unclear.
