After the Russian attack on Ukraine, the Dachau district office is preparing to take in refugees from Ukraine.
Dachau - As announced in a press release, the district office will consider existing asylum accommodation and gymnasiums as possible short-term accommodation and check their capacities.

District Administrator Stefan Löwl (CSU) has contacted the city of Dachau and the district municipalities for decentralized structures and contact points.
Meanwhile, disaster and civil protection units are preparing for a short-term deployment.
In addition, it is currently being checked whether there are other possible recording locations that can be made available quickly.
A specific distribution of refugees to individual accommodations is then based on an allocation for the district.
"If necessary, we ask for help and support from the population," says Löwl.
At the moment, however, nothing has been initiated here.
The UN refugee agency UNHCR expects 380,000 refugees in Germany alone in the coming days.
The district office announced in the press release that these would also come to the district through private contacts.
Already on Thursday there were the first inquiries from concerned district citizens whose relatives were already fleeing or were still in Ukraine.
Entry into Germany and a stay in the Federal Republic is unproblematic for the time being for 90 days.
People who have specific questions about accommodation or the admission of relatives, friends or acquaintances can send an email to Callcenter@lra-dah.bayern.de or the citizens' hotline on 0 81 31/7 42 50 from Monday.
This is staffed especially for these questions from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
"Now the western world has to stand together," emphasizes Löwl, "we will make our contribution."
