The University of Hama and the Arab Company for the Manufacturing of Veterinary and Agricultural Medicines (Akmafed) in Syria signed an agreement stipulating the strengthening of cooperation between the two sides to develop agricultural scientific research.
The President of Hama University, Dr. Muhammad Ziyad Sultan, said in a statement to SANA that the agreement is added to a number of agreements signed by the university with public and private sectors, pointing out that signing a cooperation agreement with a company that has a long history in the fields of scientific research contributes to supporting graduate students and scientific work. Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Agricultural Engineering, provided that it includes other faculties in the future, including the Faculty of Pharmacy.
For his part, the general manager of the company, Eng. Muhammad Zuhair Qazwini, confirmed that the agreement will contribute to laying the foundations for scientific and technical cooperation between the two sides and implementing research and applied projects in support of agricultural development as well as supporting graduate students.
It is noteworthy that the term of the agreement is 3 years, subject to extension by agreement of the two parties, and includes strengthening scientific and research cooperation between the university and the company within the framework of joint efforts to develop agricultural scientific research, conduct specialized scientific research and studies, organize scientific visits for students in the animal production sector to farms and laboratories, hold training courses, and hold seminars, conferences and workshops Search.
On the sidelines of the signing of the agreement, a training center was opened for students of the College of Veterinary Medicine, which is a small poultry facility in the College of Veterinary Medicine, which is fully equipped by the Arab Company for the Manufacturing of Veterinary and Agricultural Medicines, in cooperation with the University to carry out research and studies for graduate students.
