Daraa-Sana
Daraa City Council, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), implemented this evening an activity titled “The Word of Joy” as part of a project to enhance community cohesion in the airport park in Daraa.
The activity included traditional rituals, the preparation of bread on the sheet, and some paragraphs of the authentic Hourani heritage at weddings and occasions, along with the preparation of Arabic coffee, in the midst of a community presence and a wide participation of the people of the Airport neighborhood.
During the event, artistic performances and ancient Houran songs were presented in an atmosphere of happiness and joy, with the implementation of a voluntary activity entitled “Keep your garden clean.”
In a statement to SANA, the head of Daraa City Council, Amin Al-Omari, stressed the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of parks and public squares, pointing to the role entrusted to the local community to maintain cleanliness and devote this culture to people.
