Unterallgäu - The district of Unterallgäu is also preparing for refugees from Ukraine.

Housing is what is currently needed.

The district office cannot yet estimate how many people from Ukraine are expected in Unterallgäu.

“Landlords who would be willing to rent apartments to refugees from Ukraine can contact the district office in Unterallgäu.

Appropriate offers are currently being collected here and, if necessary, mediated, ”explained the district office in its call today.

In addition, the district office is looking for refugee accommodation, primarily larger objects, such as former inns with guest rooms.

The buildings should be heatable, have electricity and water connections and, if possible, several toilets with washing facilities.

Anyone who can provide an appropriate building or would like to rent private accommodation to refugees can contact the district office by email at

ukraine-unterstellung@lra.unterallgaeu.de

.

However, the district office cannot accept donations in kind or money and refers them to the appropriate aid organizations and associations.

It is still unclear how many refugees the district will take in.

“Unfortunately, we don't know how many refugees we have to reckon with.

But it's important for us to be prepared when refugees come to us," explains Eva Büchele, spokeswoman for the district office.
