Before Volodymyr Zelenskyy became President of Ukraine, he was an actor and comedian.

Very few took him seriously, least of all Vladimir Putin.

When the Russian head of state alerted the nuclear deterrent and announced this to the world on Sunday, he was sitting alone at the head of a long table, meters away from his defense minister and the chief of staff of the Russian armed forces.

The Ukrainian head of state is quite different: when the Russian media speculated that Zelenskyy had left Kyiv, he posted a selfie video showing him in front of the presidential administration in the capital with his party's advisers, prime minister and faction leader.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine

“The President is here.

we are all here

Our soldiers are here.

The citizens are here and we are here.

We defend our independence.

This is how it will work.

Honor our defenders, be they men or women!

Glory to Ukraine!

Honor to Ukraine!«

During the war, Volodymyr Zelenskyj surpasses himself and enjoys great support from the people and his government staff.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin publicly slams even his closest confidants, as here at the bizarre National Security Council meeting just before the invasion of Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin, President

'Say it.

Yes or no?"

Sergey Naryshkin, head of the intelligence service

"I support the proposal to incorporate the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics into the Russian Federation."

Vladimir Putin, President

'That's not the point now.

We don't discuss that here.

It's whether or not their independence is recognized."

The political career changer Selenskyi hit the right note in the days of war, he posts his speeches on social media, they are viewed millions of times.

The head of state also comments on the situation on Twitter.

"Keep it up, Chancellor Olaf Scholz

," he wrote to the German Chancellor when the federal government finally announced that it would supply the Ukrainian armed forces with anti-tank weapons and surface-to-air missiles.

The Ukrainian President addressed his people again on Monday with a video message.

The former comedian makes Russia and Vladimir Putin look bad in the information war.
