2022-03-06T21:08:50.020Z

Since the Russian invasion, some 38,000 antisemitic content has been published on the networks in the context of the battles - a jump of 1,280% • "Every incident is a sufficient reason to accuse the Jews"

Against the background of the war between Russia and Ukraine, in the movement to combat anti-Semitism on the net, it is recognized that in February and with the outbreak of war, 37.8 thousand content and tweets containing antisemitic content in the context of the war were published on social networks - 1.280% more than before the war.

A survey conducted by the Anti-Semitism Movement on the Internet, conducted through a computerized system that reviews social networks, included keywords and hashtags such as "Russia", "Ukraine", "Rothschild" and "Jews", and found that with the outbreak of war there was a significant increase in publications. Every day, the amount rose to 6,000 publications on the last day of the month, about half of which were of a negative nature.

All publications have been reviewed in English, and have gained exposure to about 860 million users.

In the scanning system in which the search was performed, the nature of the content was also examined, and was classified as "positive", "negative" or "neutral".

The encouraging news in this regard is that along with the greater amount of "negative" content, there has also been an increase in content that has been found to be "positive".

Most of the content was monitored on Twitter - about 59%, but there are significant differences in the search ability of the systems between the various social networks.

The rest of the content has been monitored on other social networks, websites and various forums.

Distributed antisemitic post,

Along with the scan in the computerized system, which is based on artificial intelligence technology, the movement's volunteers to fight online anti-Semitism found in a manual scan various distinct antisemitic content on the VK social network, which is especially popular among Russian speakers.

The recurring motif found in the shocking publications is blaming the Jews for the conflict and the outbreak of hostilities.

Posts published in recent days read, among other things: "The Slavs are fighting, and the Jews are happy. This is what the stinking Jews want";

"Plan of the Jews to Exterminate the Slavs, Russians, Ukraine, and Russia. Plans by Extremists of a Judeo-Fascist Chabad Struggle to Apply a New World Order"; Abrit".

"We will require acceptance of responsibility"

Barak Aharon, director of monitoring the anti-Semitism movement on the Internet, notes: "We are very hurt to see the harsh scenes of the war, with the massacres, the harm to the innocent, the endless swarm of refugees and the bombed cities. But this time too, What is happening in the world is a sufficient reason to take out the mud and blame the Jews - just as happened with the outbreak of the corona plague.

Barak Aharon, a senior member of the anti-Semitism movement on the Internet: "We will continue to demand that social networks take responsibility for the offensive content and meet our demands for the removal of the content."
