The British newspaper The Sun revealed that US and British special forces are training in an operation it described as "extremely dangerous" to evacuate the head of the Ukrainian regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to an unknown destination.
The newspaper quoted unnamed sources as saying, "More than 70 soldiers from the British elite forces joined 150 members of the US Navy at a remote base in Lithuania to plan and carry out this mission at night," noting that these exercises are taking place with the participation of Ukrainian soldiers.
According to the newspaper, the Special Forces will carry out the operation to remove Zelensky if he requests it himself, and the final destination to which the evacuation will be is unknown.
The American newspapers, The New York Times and The Washington Post, revealed earlier today that the United States, in coordination with its allies, began searching for a replacement for Zelensky in the event of his death, and also preparing for the stage after the fall of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, through the formation of a temporary government in exile based in Poland.
