The government convenes this morning (Sunday) for its weekly meeting at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, against the background of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's political trip to Russia and Germany.

On the government's agenda is also the plan to evacuate the polluting factories in Haifa Bay, and to define certain localities and areas as having national priority.

Communications Minister Yoaz Handel said before the cabinet meeting this morning that Israel would not block the Russian channels broadcast in Israel, despite Ukraine's request to do so on the grounds that the channels spread propaganda, and that other European countries did block the channels.

"We checked the Russian channels broadcasting in Israel, we found no reason to block any of them. This is such a significant step," Handel said.

"It is certain that every Israeli Zionist is proud of the Israeli Prime Minister who makes every effort to make peace in the world and save lives. Success is seen in the end. The State of Israel must always make an effort to help and assist. This is not our war but international stability is important to us."

Prior to the meeting, it was reported that Bennett had once again spoken to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zlansky.

This is the third conversation between the two in the last day.

During Saturday, Bennett secretly went to Moscow, landed at noon, and discussed with Putin for about three hours fighting in Ukraine and the possibility of a ceasefire.

At the end of the meeting, Bennett spoke with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zlansky.

The prime minister left Moscow for Berlin, where he met with German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, who visited Israel last week.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, Bennett also spoke twice with Zalansky throughout the night, after meeting with Putin, and also spoke with French President Emanuel Macron.

This morning landed in Israel.

A political source said that Israel had updated the United States, Germany and France on Bennett's trip, and was in ongoing dialogue with Ukraine on the issue.

According to the source, the prime minister also spoke with the Russian president about the situation of Israelis and Jewish communities as a result of the conflict.

The meeting also discussed the progress of the nuclear talks in Vienna.

The Prime Minister expressed the position of Israel, which opposes the return to the nuclear agreement.

According to a statement from Bennett's office, the meeting with Schultz lasted about an hour and a half, and raised several issues, including the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The government will also discuss plans to evacuate the polluting factories in Haifa Bay.

The area is saturated with industrial activity involving the use of hazardous materials, and includes more than 60 industrial plants that carry out many processes, using more than 1,500 sources of risk.

This is when the industrial area is located in a busy metropolitan area and close to the population.

Last April, an inter-ministerial committee of executives recommended closing the petrochemical refineries located there within a few years.
