Few French people know the word “Holodomor”.
It is a Ukrainian term which indicates the extermination by the hunger, such as known it the country, as well as Kuban and Kazakhstan, in 1932-1933, and which made according to estimates between 2,5 million and 6 million dead.
The figure most often used is that of 4 million.
Almost the equivalent of the Holocaust.
Thus the Holodomor is to the Ukrainian people what the Holocaust is to the Jewish people.
