The Saudi website Ilaf reported today (Friday) that Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi, who visited Bahrain this week, met at the US Fifth Headquarters with Qatari Chief of Staff Salem bin Hemed bin Akil.
According to journalist Majdi al-Halabi, Kochavi and Ben-Akil discussed military cooperation between the two countries in light of the recent challenges in the region, as well as Russia's war on Ukraine.
It was also reported that the two discussed the issue of Qatar joining a coalition in the region that would confront Iran's threats and especially in UAVs, which were launched towards Israel in the past, and the possibility of placing advanced Israeli radars in Qatar for early warning.
A source told the Saudi website that the meetings held by the stars in Bahrain were good and constructive.
