The United Nations World Food Program today called for funding to prevent more hunger in Yemen.
The program stated in its account on Twitter that "the increasing violence and economic deterioration have pushed millions in Yemen to the brink of famine," explaining that "Yemeni families are eating less than required due to the reduction in the quantities of aid, so we call for more resources to prevent millions from falling into hunger."
The United Nations complains of a severe lack of funding for humanitarian operations in Yemen, which has led to a reduction in the volume of aid for millions of Yemenis who depend mainly on international relief.
And the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” revealed yesterday that “since the start of the war on Yemen nearly seven years ago, the United Nations has verified the death and injury of more than 10,200 children,” explaining that “the actual numbers are likely to be much higher.”
