German Deutsche Bank President Christian Zwing has warned of the negative effects of sanctions against Russia.
"The sanctions have a negative impact on the Russian economy and our economy as well, and we have to bear that," Zwing was quoted by German magazine Die Welt as saying, noting that stopping the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline would soon lead to major problems in energy supplies and significantly higher prices in Germany.
The United States and Western countries imposed economic and financial sanctions on Russia over its own military operation to protect Donbass.
