Major Tamar Bakia Adagach and Major Mazi Makonen will take up their duties in the near future • Additional appointment as a judge in the military courts in Judea and Samaria: The prosecutor in the trial against the terrorist who murdered Amit Ben Yigal

History in the military courts:

Two women from the Ethiopian community were appointed judges in the military courts in Judea and Samaria yesterday (Sunday).

The two are Major Tamar Bakia Edgach (right) and Major Mazi Makonen (left), who will take up their positions in the near future.

Among the judges appointed yesterday to the military courts in Judea and Samaria is Major Diane Yishai, the prosecutor in the trial against the terrorist who murdered the Golani Regiment fighter, Sgt. Amit Ben Yigal.

The difficulties of members of the Ethiopian community in the IDF have often been reported, and the data indicate that they are in military prisons much more than their relative proportion in the population.
