At night the rain is expected to intensify mainly in the north of the country and on Mount Hermon it will start to snow.
On Wednesday in the north of the country it rained accompanied by thunderstorms, hail and there is a fear of flooding.
Snow fell on Mount Hermon and possibly even in the northern Golan.
In the center of the country, local rains fell with pauses.
In the Negev there may be light local rain and it will continue to be colder than usual.
At night the rains will also intensify in the center of the country and there is a fear of flooding in the coastal plain and in the lowlands.
Meteo Tech reported that on Thursday it rained in the north and center of the country, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail.
There is a fear of flooding in the festival places.
Local rains have fallen in the Negev and the Dead Sea, and there are fears of floods.
Temperatures have even dropped further and it will be particularly cold.
Snow fell on Mount Hermon and the northern Golan Heights, and possibly in the peaks of the Galilee Mountains.

On Friday the rains will continue, but they are expected to weaken and diminish during the day.

Which year was the coldest?
Since March 11, there has been a cold wave in our area with below-average temperatures.
During the day it is measured at 7 to 8 degrees in the mountains and inland and at 5 to 6 degrees in the coastal plain.
At night the temperatures are below average at 5 to 6 C in the mountains and at 4 to 5 C in the other areas.
A comparison of the meteorological service of the second enrichment of March this year (the 11th to the 20th of the month), to averages of similar periods in the past in March at several stations, shows that the current enrichment is exceptional - at the stations tested (Beit Dagan, Safed, Mount Canaan, Jerusalem and Beer Sheva ) There have not been ten cold episodes in March for many years: in Beit Dagan and Safed Mount Canaan there were no similar episodes from the beginning of the measurements (in Beit Dagan the measurements began in 1962 and in Safed Mount Canaan in 1939).
In Jerusalem, where measurements have been available since 1867, there were a number of similar episodes of ten cold in a similar way only in the distant past (1886, 1894, 1907, 1910 and 1928), and even then only with respect to minimum temperatures.

Beersheba had a similar cold in 1948 (the first of March of that year).
The measurements in Be'er Sheva began in 1921.
The cold wave is expected to continue in the coming days and upon its completion, the degree of its anomaly will be finally extended.
Apparently, the whole month of March is expected to be one of the coldest since the beginning of the measurements, but not necessarily the coldest (probably not as cold as March 1953).
