The Public Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Damascus and its countryside put well 19 in the city of Rahiba in Damascus countryside into service.
Engineer Wissam Baroudi, director of the economic units in the corporation, explained in a statement to SANA that the well is located in the upper Shamees Al-Rahiba project, at a density of 38 cubic meters per hour, and at a depth of 370 meters.
Baroudi indicated that the Corporation dug two exploratory wells in the Al-Zour area in the Damascus countryside, the first with a depth of 400 meters and an abundance of 25 cubic meters per hour, and the second with a depth of 365 meters and a depth of 45 cubic meters per hour so that the two wells can be equipped and electric current is secured for them to put them into service as soon as possible.
Baroudi pointed out that last year, the Foundation put well 17 into service in the Shamees Al-Rahiba Upper Project.
