This is the name given by the Russian general staff to Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine.
"Z" for zero war goals achieved in one month of conflict!
The "denazification" and "demilitarization" promised by the master of the Kremlin - the overthrow of the government of Volodymyr Zelensky, the conquest of the great cities of the country, the destruction of the Ukrainian army - were to be formalities.
These are increasingly distant goals.
Instead of the flowers promised by their president, the Russian soldiers were greeted with Molotov cocktails and fierce resistance.
But every day Putin's frustration grows more threatening to the civilian populations in Ukraine.
Because he has taken back in hand the weapon he masters best, that of terror.
