Apulia, Italy - Summer, the Italian sun, blue sea, La Dolce Vita - how could you not get in the mood for flirting?

With "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" it's the turn of the first foreign recall and the first candidates already seem to have butterflies in their stomachs.

Gianni and Melissa get closer to DSDS

At DSDS, one or the other dream couple has already found itself in the past 19 seasons.

The most famous DSDS love was created in 2011 between Sarah Engels and Pietro Lombardi.

But Katharina Eisenblut and Marvin Ventura, as well as Kevin Jenewein and Pia-Sophie Remmel, also came together last year.

Do Gianni Laffonti (17) and Melissa Mantzoukis (18) join this series full of DSDS romances?

In a trailer from RTL, the two can be seen together while learning.

They have made themselves comfortable next to each other on a lounger and are beaming at each other.

"Together you can do anything," explains Gianni, giving Melissa a meaningful look.

Will there be more going on soon?

We are excited.

Overall, the first recall episode of the new DSDS season was not particularly well received by the viewers.

Many were upset that instead of singing, there was only babble.
