31st Day of Fighting in Ukraine: Russia's 'disappeared' defense minister documented at a meeting

A statement from the Russian Defense Ministry released yesterday stating that the Russian military had met all its targets during the first month of fighting in Ukraine and that the phase of reconquest of the Donbass region would now begin

.

In Ukraine, 136 children have been reported killed so far.

One of the people who was closest to President Vladimir Putin before the fighting - has almost disappeared from consciousness since the invasion began: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, documented at a meeting of senior defense officials in a video released this morning by the Russian administration.

Although it is not clear if this is a video from recent days, it is probably an attempt to dispel rumors circulated by opponents of the regime, including in Ukraine, that he suffered a heart attack or was ousted from Putin's circle following the battlefield failures in recent weeks.

As you may recall, last Thursday was also recorded in a zoom conversation with President Putin, for the first time since March 11, although that video is also unclear if it was up to date.
