A thunderstorm belt is affecting the coast of Guangdong.
More than 20 millimetres of rainfall were recorded in many parts of Hong Kong this morning, with more than 40 millimetres recorded in the northern New Territories.
In addition, the northeast monsoon is affecting the area.
The Observatory forecasts that it will be cloudy in Hong Kong today with showers and a few squally thunderstorms. It will rain heavily in some areas at first.
The highest temperature during the day is about 20 degrees.
Moderate to fresh easterly to northeasterly winds, with occasional strong winds offshore later.

The Transport Department said that due to improved weather conditions, the maximum speed limit on the Hong Kong Link Road of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has been restored to 100 kilometers per hour.
