The Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stressed that the Russian Federation does not aim to overthrow the Kyiv regime during the special operation in Ukraine.
During his meeting with the head of the General Directorate of Documentation and External Security of Algeria Noureddine Makri in Moscow today, Patrushev said: “The current special military operation in Ukraine is just a response to the criminal steps taken by the Kyiv authorities in relation to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and it is a preventive measure and at the same time. the appropriate".
Patrushev pointed out that the situation in Ukraine is only one of the tragic consequences of the bloody and ill-considered policy of the United States.
Patrushev continued: The Americans have deliberately suppressed independent states for many years for their own geopolitical and financial interests and sought to undermine the world order that developed after the end of World War II, as well as the United Nations system.
Patrushev noted that the emergence of new centers of power and global development caused growing resentment on the part of the United States, which sought by any means to maintain its hegemony in world affairs.
As we know from history, Patrushev said, in order to achieve this goal, Americans have always unleashed wars in other parts of the planet.
Patrushev revealed that his country had found documents including evidence that Kyiv was preparing to launch a large-scale attack to destroy the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, noting that the Russian forces were directing strikes using high-precision weapons in the main strongholds, airports, weapons storage places and the accumulation of military equipment of the Ukrainian army.
Patrushev explained that the goal of the Americans, as in the Second World War, is clear, which is to weaken Europe and inflict the greatest damage on its relations with Russia and create undeniable advantages for further economic development, pointing out that the Americans use their partners in other countries who want to impose a global order based on the rules of the game that benefit them.
