A seismic event linked to bradyseism has created alarm this evening in the population of Pozzuoli (Naples) and the Phlegraean area;
the earthquake was felt distinctly in the city and in the areas close to 19.45 and was accompanied by rumbles.
The intensity of the event, as reported by the Vesuvian Observatory, was 3.6 on the Ritcher scale at a depth of 2700 meters, located in the area of via Antiniana north-east of the Solfatara volcano.
There was panic among the population with people on the street in the popular districts of Monterusciello and Toiano, but also in the Solfatara area, near the epicenter.
The shock is the most intense since the resumption of the phenomenon in the last ten years, higher than the event of last March 16 which was of magnitude 3.5.
The municipality of Pozzuoli has activated the Civil Protection and the Municipal Police to monitor the situation.
At the moment there are no damages to people and things.
